Background

As demand for accessible, connected mental health services continues to grow, Bethesda Health Care set out to reimagine how consumers, clinicians, and support networks engage throughout the care journey. Working together with Bethesda and Microsoft, Velrada helped deliver one of Australia’s first implementations of Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare as the foundation for a next generation patient administration platform.

Velrada’s Solution

Leveraging Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and Azure, Velrada helped Bethesda establish a modern healthcare platform that enables:

  • A connected patient record that brings together information from previously disconnected systems
  • More personalised care through improved visibility of a consumer’s health journey and episode of care
  • Better collaboration between patients, clinicians, families, and support networks
  • Reduced administrative burden, allowing healthcare professionals to focus more time on patient care
  • A foundation for future innovation through advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven insights

Having the cloud-based system allows an incredible amount of important data to be exchanged from multiple operational and clinical sources, creating more connected consumer experiences, where the consumer is in control of what is shared and who it is shared with

Outcome & Impact

Through close collaboration with Bethesda and Microsoft, Velrada helped design and implement a solution focused on improving continuity of care, ensuring consumers can move more seamlessly between community-based support, inpatient services, and ongoing treatment pathways.

This project highlights how connected healthcare data can empower both clinicians and consumers, creating a more informed, personalised, and collaborative care experience while laying the groundwork for the future of mental health service delivery.
