​​​Opens new office in Adelaide CBD, Minister Speaks and receives Microsoft HoloLens Demonstration.

Adelaide– November 14, 2016 – Velrada, a leading Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in Dynamics 365, Advisory and Microsoft Solutions, has expanded its Australian operations to further service a growing client base across South Australia, establishing a $2m investment in an advanced data and analytics called DataLab, opening a new office in Adelaide and increasing headcount to 45 in 2017, since establishing an Adelaide presence 5 years ago.

Amongst the 70 guests at the official office and DataLab opening were the honorable Peter Malinauskas MLC, Minister for Police, Corrections, Emergency Services and Road Safety, Mr Vincent Tarzia MP, Parliamentary Secretary for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business Start-Up, representing the Leader of the Opposition. Dr Eva Balan-Vnuk, State Director of Microsoft, and Mr Mark Rankmore, Head of Human Relations and Executive responsible for ICT at OZ Minerals.

The opening address by Minister Malinauskas was focused on the theme of the “Knowledge State” as an economic priority and unlocking the potential in human capital that technologies from Microsoft offers. There was an acknowledgement of Microsoft Partner, Velrada as an enabler of this vision providing capabilities in advanced data and analytics to Government; the Mining Industry for organisations such as OzMinerals; Viticulture; and Financial Services.

Dr, Eva Balan-Vnuk, State Director of Microsoft praised the commitment and partnership that Velrada and Microsoft had together within the theme of “Winning Together”.

Head of Human Relations and Executive responsible for ICT at Oz Minerals, Mr. Mark Rankmore, spoke about the transformational journey his organisation was on, and how Microsoft Technologies and Partners like Velrada has been instrumental in the success of this journey.

As a highlight of the evening select attendees including Minister Malinauskas were fortunate enough receive a demonstration of the new Microsoft HoloLens . Microsoft HoloLens is the first self-contained, holographic computer, enabling you to engage with your digital content & data, and interact with holograms in the world around you. Velrada and Microsoft Partner Inger Lawes of SAAB who have an advanced HoloLens program, received much interest in the applications to support the “Knowledge State” direction of South Australia.

Mr Felice D’Antonio, Velrada General Manager for South Australia, announced the Woman-In Mining network have made arrangements to use the new Velrada Office for its monthly meetings and this was part of the Velrada – Community Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment.
