Delays in managing complex applications in planning, infrastructure or land use can cost companies millions, and create major headaches for government when there is a lack of visibility across the entire assessment value chain. Velrada worked closely with several high profile agencies to drive the vision and lead a transformation from legacy systems and manual application processing, to a transparent self-service online system which also integrated key business processes between agencies involved in different stages of the same application.
Rapid development, avoidance of customisation and the integration capability of Dynamics 365 with the broader Microsoft solution stack has provided numerous government agencies with a robust case management, stakeholder engagement and online service delivery solution which has laid the groundwork for several agency transitions to cloud-first platforms over the past five years. In addition to the compliance and process accountability benefits, the solution has also reduced administration overhead and most importantly reduced the time taken to process applications.
The core technology stack deployed to deliver the solution is Dynamics 365 to provide OOTB case management and stakeholder engagement with and Office 365 and SharePoint Online/RecordPoint front end for document management capability. On-premise and Azure hosted GIS systems have been used (e.g. ESRI ArcSDE) for the visualisation and management of land use and planning applications, and integration with other agency systems and inter-agency workflows created with MS stack integration services (e.g. BizTalk). Reporting and data analytics is delivered though PowerBI and SSIS/AS.
